Last weekend I finally managed to stop by the Val David Farmer’s market. It was one of the markets on the leading edge of the resurgence of small public market days in Quebec, and it is still my favourite. With over 60 vendors, it’s quite possibly one of the biggest markets as well.
My visit was brief since we were en-route to go canoeing, but I did manage to stop by some of my favourite stalls to pick up treats for the paddle. My friend was even able to find gluten-free waffles for breakfast while I chowed down on an organic chocolatine from Boulangerie Vagabonde.
Here is a list of some other markets in the Laurentians, Eastern Townships and Chateauguay Valley. As usual, if you know of any that I’m missing, please let me know. (You can also see my previous posts for a list of markets on the Island of Montreal and the surrounding suburbs.)
